Division 1/2 - East: Neve Cockerill, JH Bruns Broncos, Forward #7

A nail biting game unfolded on Monday between the JH Bruns Broncos and the CPET Canadiennes. Neve, a fast, tough, play maker stood out from the start as she led her team to an early lead with a hat trick before the second period was over. The Canadiennes put up a fight taking the game in to OT, but the Broncos prevailed to a 5-4 win. On Wednesday the Broncos faced the CSLR Renards where Neve netted the game-winning goal and added an assist on the insurance goal, but her impact on the game went far beyond the scoresheet. She was outstanding and played in a style that combined skill, grit and leadership. Those efforts resulted in a 3-1 win for the Broncos. Congratulations Neve!

Division 1/2 - West: Taylr Chornomydz, Sanford Sabres, Defence #17

Taylr played a very strong 200 foot game on Wednesday and was able to generate tons of offence while also keeping a tight defensive game. She never gave up the puck and was always in proper position throughout the game leading to her first Sabres goal and 2 assists in their 8-2 win over the Garden City Gophers. In a tough game against the Oak Park Raiders the next day, Taylr played a strong game both ways again. She generated many scoring opportunities and added another assist in a 2-0 win for the Sabres. Congratulations Taylr!

Division 3: Maddie Stoller, SJR Eagles, Forward #7

Maddie played with high intensity and was one of the top players on the ice on Thursday in a hard-fought game against the Springfield Sabres. She was very strong throughout the neutral zone, checked hard and cut off passes from the Sabres which led her to a goal and an assist in the Eagles 4-3 loss in overtime. Maddie showed great speed and a magnificent ability to generate offensive opportunities for her team. Congratulations Maddie!
