Ending March 13, 2026

Division 1: Vayda Rigaux, Glenlawn Lions, Defence #17

On Tuesday, Vayda scored 2 goals and then added 3 assists in the third period. She was the playmaker of the game and cemented the Lions 7-4 win over the SMA Flames. On Thursday, she again showed up for her team scoring 2 goals including both a tying and winning goal. Her tying goal in the 3rd period was an absolute gem, she blocked an outlet pass in the air, got the puck quickly to her stick and in one fluid motion, side stepped the last Flames defender and sniped a hard wrist shot. She scored her second goal in the OT period to lead the Lions to a 3-2 OT win to move on to the next series. Congratulations Vayda!

Division 2: Braya Kapusta, Dakota Lancers, Forward #10

On Thursday, Braya had a spectacular performance, dominating the play from start to finish. She powered the offense by scoring all four goals in the team’s 4-0 victory over the Churchill Bulldogs, repeatedly finding ways to break through the Bulldogs defense. Truly an inspired display of talent and determination. Friday’s game was a nail biter as the Bulldogs were able to keep on the dangerous Braya but by the third period, she was able to drive hard into her shooting lane where she was able to snap a pair of bar down snipes. A wonderful display of skill and hard work that gave the Lancers a 2-1 victory to win the series. Congratulations Braya!

Division 3: Leah Robinson, Beliveau Barracudas, Goaltender #31

A goaltender is the backbone of the game and Leah proves that every game as she shows her skill and talent. Monday, saw Leah stop all 20 shots coming her way with a 5-0 win for the Barracudas over the Springfield Sabres. At the start of the game the Sabres came out all over the Barracudas but Leah was there to bail them out time and time again, keeping them in the game. On Tuesday, the Sabres came out strong and she stopped 22 of 25 shots in a Barracudas 3-1 loss to the Sabres. On Thursday, she made 17 saves in a great shutout performance. The first two periods were dominant, and she only had to make 4 saves but in the third period things changed and the Sabres were really strong. Leah made 13 saves in the third period to ensure her team secured a ride to the finals. Congratulations Leah!
