Ending February 9, 2024

Division 1: Vanessa Moreira, River East Kodiaks, Defence #19

Vanessa plays on the edge, she skates hard, gets involved with the puck in corners and usually comes out with it. She scored 2 goals and 2 assist to help lead her team to a thrilling 5-4 win over the Selkirk Royals. Vanessa is a team player whether she is asked to play defence, centre or wing she gladly does and gives it 100% in all positions. She wants to win for her team and she shows by example with her work hard every time she is on the ice. She is also second in points for her team with 13 goals and 10 assists which gives her a 1.10 pts per game. Congratulations Vanessa!

Division 2: Ciara Martin, Oak Park Raiders, Forward #18

Clara had a glorious week helping her team win both games. On Tuesday the Raiders played the number 1 Sanford Sabres where she scored the GWG in a well fought 3-1 victory. Clara started to turn the momentum in their favour in the middle of the second period with her first goal to tie the game. She then scored the GWG early in the third. Two days later the Raiders played the Lorette Scorpions where she assisted on their insurance goal. Her strong work ethic enables her to lead her team in scoring with 9 goals and 7 assists. Congratulations Ciara!

Division 3: Grace Routledge, Kelvin Clippers, Forward #10

Grace never stopped skating hard and setting up her team mates as well as fore and back checking in the Clippers 5-2 loss to a strong Murdoch McKay on Monday. On Friday the Clippers played the J H Bruns Broncos and she picked up right where she left off by again skating hard and providing a great spark for her team. She skated very well with the puck and played strong at both ends of the ice leading her to an unassisted goal and 2 assists in her teams 4-3 win over the Broncos. Congratulations Grace!
