Ending November 22, 2024

Division 1: Kennedy Smith, SMA Flames, Forward #8

Kennedy had great consistent play in all 3 of the Flames games this week. She worked hard offensively and defensively and skated at top speeds. It started Tuesday with a 1-0 win over the CJS Olympiens where Kennedy was a big factor as she back checked and forechecked throughout the game. The next day against the West Kildonan Wolverines she was still hot as she scored 3 goals in a 7-1 win for the Flames. On Friday, the Shaftesbury Titans were put to the test, but with her relentless checking the Flames earned a 5-4 overtime win. Congratulations Kennedy!

Division 2: Halia Jonker, Lorette Scorpions, Goalie #1

Halia made a number of very tough saves and kept her team in the game early while they were under fire in the first period against the JH Bruns Broncos on Monday. Her efforts earned the Scorpions a 3-2 overtime victory where she stopped 23 of 25 shots. She continued her excellent play in another hard fought victory, this time over the Miles Mac Buckeyes on Wednesday. She stopped 29 of 30 shots earning the Scorpions a 2-1 win. Congratulations Halia!

Division 3: May McCusker, Beliveau Barracudas, Forward #12

May led the way in the Barracudas hard fought win over Murdoch MacKay on Wednesday. She scored late in the third period putting her team down by a goal and then with 0:54 remaining in the game she scored the tying goal forcing overtime. When overtime came, May was ready, she buried her third goal for the hat trick and the 5-4 win. The next day the Barracudas faced the Beausejour Barons. She worked hard and her relentless checking all over the ice helped her team to a 3-2 win. Congratulations May!
