  • Position: Forward/Defence
  • Division Rookie of the Year, Top Scorer 2010-11
  • Winnipeg Free Press Division Championship 2010-11

University Manitoba Bisons:

  • 2017-18 Canwest champions & U Sports National champions
  • 2-time Canwest Allstar team member
  • 2016-17 Usports All Canadian Allstar team

What Alexandra is doing now?

  • Playing professional hockey in the Swedish Women’s Hockey League(SDHL) 2019-current
  • Working with Canadian Friends of Hockey in Ukraine(CFHU) to try and run a hockey camp for girls in Ukraine (contingent on Covid-19 circumstances).

Alexandra's Experience:

"I learned a lot, developed a lot and had a lot of fun while playing high school hockey. Our team had a wide array of skill levels. I remember we would had some beginners who you would cheer on for every little progression or you had some really skilled girls who pushed you to be better. I accredit that dynamic to shaping my love and positive outlook on the game. Our team also had a skilled coach who taught me a lot about hockey and brought out my competitive side. She was also the first person I met who played hockey at a college level. Later, she was the one who helped me in the process of contacting universities."

Memorable Moment(s):

"My grade nine year was my first year playing in the League. That was a special year. I was young, shy and impressionable on a team with much older, crazier hockey gals than I was used to. These crazy gals broke me out of my shell and taught me a lot about the game. We won our division championship that year with our crazy group which definitely was a fun, memorable moment."

What her Coaches had to say:

"Alexandra helped us win a Championship in her grade 9 year, and she earned Rookie of the Year that season as well as most goals scored. She was an outstanding player in our league who was a strong, determined and competitive. A player who played 'heads up hockey'; created beautiful 'give n go' opportunities around the net, worked the boards well using her long reach and had a hard slap shot from the point! Great character player and a VERY strong advocate for Women's Hockey as she excelled playing for the Bisons (5 years) and is currently playing hockey professionally in Sweden in the SDHL."
