By looking at the score, you would have thought this was a blow out game, but nothing could be further from the truth. Team Gray was into it all game; matching Team Blue’s competition level shift by shift. The deciding factor in this game was the Blue Vets goaltending. Ryann Bannerman, CJS Olympiens; Shaelyn Pepper, Selkirk Royals; and Meagan Sawyer, CSHC Huskies; were spectacular in net all game including stopping 4 Team Gray breakaways. Goal scorers for the Blue Vets were Megan Parsons, Oak Park Raiders; Trina Allard, Dakota Lancers; Carly Butland, Springfield Sabres; and Danica Barnes, VMC Trojans. A 3 point performance for the Blue Vets garnered Springfield Sabres Hannah Kostiak the Player of the Game. The Gray Vets single goal was scored by the Miles Mac Buckeyes Rachel Chem.

Showcasing the leagues top players, the All Star JETS game was an edge of your seat performance that kept fans engaged from puck drop to the final horn. Blue Jets defensive player Andrea Bruce (FRC Centurions) was integral in helping her team score 3 goals and out shoot Team Gray 25-20, in a 3-0 shutout victory for Team Blue. Her performance earned her the Blue Jets Player of the game award. Blue Jets goal scorers were Alexa Chobatar, CSHC Huskies; Paige Collins, CJS Olympiens; and Janine Zajac, VMC Trojans. Team Gray was shutout, but had some great performances from their players including from goalie Dannielle Quaye, Miles Mac Buckeyes, who stopped 13 of the 14 shots from the high-powered Blue Jets.
